The Browser Extension is useful when you want to:

Key Features and How to Use It

Getting Started

  1. Install the CRED Browser Extension (via the Chrome Web Store)

  2. Visit a company website or LinkedIn profile

  3. Click the extension icon to view insights

  4. Take actions like saving to lists, enriching contacts, or syncing to Salesforce

Company Pages

When you open the extension on a company-related page, it can show:

  • Key indicators and performance metrics

  • Subsidiaries and similar companies

  • Social handles and keyword tags that map to CRED web app filters

  • People associated with the company (with sorting options)

  • Relevant narratives (such as sponsorship deals, when available)

  • Recent news related to the company

  • Quick actions that take you into the CRED web app for deeper analysis (e.g., compare audiences or financials)

Note: Viewing expanded company details may require credits (see Pricing/Credits below).

LinkedIn Profiles

When you open the extension on a LinkedIn profile, it can show:

  • Key profile information (such as location, when available)

  • Experience and following signals (when available)

  • Social handles and similar profiles

  • Relevant news coverage

  • Contact enrichment options (emails and phone numbers — credit-based)

Note: Viewing expanded person details or performing enrichment may require credits.

Favorites and Lists

From the extension, you can:

  • Save companies or people to favorites

  • View and manage your lists

  • Quickly move between browser context and your CRED workspace

Salesforce Sync

The extension supports syncing enriched data directly into Salesforce (credit-based). This is useful for keeping CRM records up to date without manual copying.

Pricing / Credits

The extension follows the same credit-pricing as in-app. Pricing and availability may vary by workspace configuration.

Typical credit usage:

  • 1 credit to expand full company or person details

  • 2-5 Credits for enrichment actions (emails/phone numbers)

  • 5 credits for Salesforce sync or on-demand data refresh (where enabled)

Viewing basic summaries, browsing, and managing saved lists typically does not consume credits.

Limitations (Things to Watch Out For)

  • Company matching may occasionally be incorrect, especially for less well-known brands or ambiguous names. Performance is best for verified, well-known entities.

  • LinkedIn profile coverage may vary. Some profiles may lack sufficient underlying data and may not display full results.

  • Browser support is currently limited. The extension must be installed from the Chrome Web Store and is supported on Chrome-based browsers.

  • UI and responsiveness are actively improving. Some layouts (including assistant layout/responsiveness) may feel inconsistent in early versions.

FAQs

Q: Does viewing data consume credits?
A: Only expanded company/person details and enrichment actions consume credits. Viewing summaries or managing lists typically does not.

Q: Can I sync data directly to Salesforce?
A: Yes. Salesforce sync is credit-based (commonly 5 credits per record).

Q: Why are some LinkedIn profiles not showing data?
A: The extension depends on underlying data availability. Profiles without matching records or sufficient public/available information may not render details.

Q: How frequently is data refreshed?

Q: What happens if the wrong company appears?
A: You can report mismatches. Data mapping and match accuracy are continuously improving.

Q: What browsers are supported?
A: The extension is supported on Chrome & Microsoft Edge.
