New Launch: Sequences — Everything You Need to Know
Last updated: March 23, 2026
Hey team! We're excited to share a major update to how outreach works in CRED. Here's a quick rundown of what's changed and how it all works now.
What's Changed
Campaigns and Sequences inside the Inbox tab are gone. Everything has been migrated to a dedicated Sequences tab in the left navigation. You'll find it right there in the sidebar.
The big shift: there are no longer separate "Campaigns" and "Sequences." Everything is now unified under Sequences. One workflow, one place — simpler for you and simpler for our users.
Creating a Sequence
To get started, click the Create button at the top of the Sequences page.
You'll see three options:
Write with AI — Let CRED AI generate your sequence with smart, context-aware content
Template — Choose from pre-made templates (more coming soon!)
Blank — Start from scratch and build your own
Note: "Write with AI" and "Blank" are fully ready to go. We'll be rolling out more templates over the coming weeks.
Using a Blank Sequence
When you select Blank, you'll land in a sequence editor with four tabs: Editor, Contacts, Insights, and Settings.
Editor Tab
This is where you build your outreach steps. You can:
Define each step (email, LinkedIn connection, etc.)
Write subject lines and email body content
Use AI assistance directly in the body to help draft messaging
Toggle tracking for opens, clicks, and signatures
Contacts Tab
Click "+ Add contacts" to pull in recipients from your lists or contacts
The system automatically picks up the primary work email address for each contact
Reviewing & Approving Steps
You can approve steps in bulk from the Editor using "Approve All", or review on a per-contact basis in the Contacts tab
Each contact shows their sequence progress, step timeline, and engagement stats (opens, clicks, replies, bounces)
Activating
Once everything looks good, toggle the Activate Sequence slider to launch at your desired send time.
Using "Write with AI"
This option gives you more flexibility upfront by letting you feed context to CRED AI through an onboarding window.
Here's what happens:
You provide company URL, customer pain points, value proposition, and call to action
AI auto-fills your sequence steps with tailored content based on that context
You review, tweak, and approve — just like with a blank sequence
TL;DR
Before | Now |
Campaigns + Sequences in Inbox | Everything lives under the Sequences tab |
Two separate workflows | One unified Sequence workflow |
Manual content creation only | Write with AI option for smart content generation |
