Navigation: Finding Anything in CRED from a Sidebar You Control
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Tom, CRED's CPO, walks through the quick actions at the top of the sidebar, the three areas everything else is bucketed into, how to customize the layout, and the matching Settings structure.
Why use the new navigation
CRED's sidebar is now built around two ideas: a short Shortcuts strip for the handful of places you go every day, and a Browse map that buckets everything else into three plain-English areas — Integrations, Discovery, and Actions. Everything is where you'd guess, and anything you use constantly can be promoted to the top.
Use it when you want to:
Reach your five most-used pages in one click, without hunting through menus
Find a page you've never opened by reasoning about what it does, not remembering where it lives
Pin the pages your role actually depends on and hide the ones it doesn't
Keep your sidebar open and every section expanded if you prefer seeing the whole map
Land on a Settings page in the same category you'd expect from the main sidebar
Where to find it
The sidebar is on every page of the CRED web app, on the left.
It has four parts, top to bottom:
Create — the button in the sidebar header, for creating records from anywhere.
Shortcuts — the quick actions: Dashboard plus up to five pinned pages. Out of the box these are Companies, People, Sequences, Opportunities, and the newly released Alerts.
Browse — Integrations, Discovery, Actions, and More. Click a section name to expand it.
Customize Navigation — at the bottom of the sidebar, next to the collapse control.
What lives in each Browse section
Integrations
Connecting, importing, and managing your data.
Item | What it's for |
|---|---|
Import | The imports hub — start and review data imports |
Import Wizard | Full-screen guided import (where enabled) |
Integrations | Connect new sources and manage live connections |
More → Exports | Export history |
More → Sync Data | What syncs, and in which direction |
More → Sync Log | Record-level sync activity |
More → Sync Health | Connection health and failures |
More → Matching | How incoming records match existing ones |
More → Field Management | Field mapping and custom fields |
💡 A new unified Integrations experience is on the way. It brings connecting, importing, and managing data into one place, with Exports, Sync Data, Sync Log, Sync Health, Matching, and Field Management becoming tabs inside each connector rather than separate sidebar items. It is rolling out over the coming weeks — until it reaches your workspace, you'll see the items in the table above.

💡 CRM Diagnostic is moving into Actions shortly.
More
The overflow at the bottom of Browse, holding custom objects and any workspace-specific entity pages.
Pinning a page to Shortcuts does not remove it from Browse. Browse is the complete, stable map of the product; a shortcut is a shortcut, not a relocation. Companies pinned to Shortcuts still appears under Discovery.
Settings
Settings mirrors the main sidebar as closely as possible: your Account and Workspace settings first, then Integrations, Discovery, and Actions settings in the same order as the main nav. There's a Search Settings box at the top if you'd rather jump straight to a page.
Section | What's in it |
|---|---|
Account | Profile, Security, Subscribed, Notifications, Preferences, Platforms, Shares, Privacy & Consent |
Workspace | Workspace Profile, Pricing & Credits, Members, Credit Usage, Jobs, Workspace Directory, Blacklist, Universal API |
Integrations | API Keys, CRED API Access, Webhooks, LinkedIn Analytics, Web Intent, Explore Import Data |
Data Management | Imports |
Discovery | Entity Requests, Manage Filters, Sorting, Filter Management, Manage Views, Manage Displays, Pipeline Stages, Task Stages, Custom Metrics, Enrichment Providers, Verified Person Lookup, Explore Entities, Data Series |
Actions | Email, Templates, AI Settings (Your memory, Workspace memory, Contextual Insights), Microsoft Teams, Workflow Approvals |
Admins also see Admin Tools, and CRED platform staff see Platform Admin.
💡 Eleven pages moved out of Settings and into the main sidebar: Imports, Integrations, Exports, Sync Data, Sync Log, Sync Health, Matching, Field Management, Alerts, Scoring, and Email Manager Agent. Their URLs are unchanged, so old bookmarks and links still work.
How to set it up
There's nothing to switch on — the new navigation is already active, with sensible defaults. These steps are for making it yours.
Prerequisites:
A CRED account. Every change below is personal to you and follows you across devices.
1. Open Customize Navigation
Click Customize Navigation at the bottom of the sidebar.
2. Choose how the sidebar behaves
At the top of the panel, set two toggles:
Keep sidebar expanded — the sidebar stays open and never auto-collapses.
Expand all sections — Integrations, Discovery, and Actions all render expanded, so you see the whole map at once.
3. Pick your five shortcuts
The Highlighted group at the top of the panel shows your current shortcuts and a count out of five.
To add one, find the item in its section below and click its pin icon.
To remove one, click the pin icon next to it in Highlighted.
To reorder them, drag them within Highlighted.
Once you're at five, the pin icon on other items is greyed out — remove one before adding another.
💡 You can also pin without opening the panel: hover any sidebar row, click the ⋯ menu, and choose Pin to Shortcuts (or Remove from Shortcuts on a row that's already pinned). The same menu has Open in new tab.
4. Reorder and hide items
Each of Integrations, Discovery, and Actions is listed with a Top level and a More subsection.
Drag any item to reorder it, including between Top level and More, and between sections.
Click the hide icon on an item to remove it from your sidebar. Hidden items collect at the bottom of their section with a show icon to bring them back.
5. Confirm it worked
Close the panel. Your shortcuts should appear under Shortcuts in the order you set, and each Browse section should match the order you dragged. Changes save as you make them and are waiting for you on your next sign-in, on any device.
If you want to start over, click Reset in the top-right of the Customize Navigation panel — this restores both the default order and the default shortcuts.
Credits
Action | Credit cost |
|---|---|
Using the sidebar and browsing between pages | Free |
Pinning, reordering, hiding, or resetting navigation | Free |
Searching Settings | Free |
Navigation is part of the product interface — it never consumes credits. Credits are only debited by the actions you run on a page once you get there (enrichment, exports, and similar).

Permissions
All roles can customize their own navigation. Shortcuts, order, hidden items, and the two sidebar toggles are personal to each user — changing yours never affects a colleague's.
All roles see the same Shortcuts and Browse structure. Which items appear inside each section depends on your workspace's plan and enabled features, not on your role.
Admins additionally see the Admin Tools section in Settings, and Admin-only pages within the other Settings sections.
Some sidebar items only appear once an Admin has enabled the underlying feature for the workspace — Scoring, Sequences, Meetings, Email Manager Agent, and the full-screen Import Wizard among them.

Data privacy
Your navigation preferences store only route names, ordering, and two on/off toggles — no customer, contact, or company data.
They are saved against your own user in your workspace and are not visible to other members.
Hiding an item hides it from your sidebar only; it does not change anyone's access to the underlying page or data.
The sidebar never widens access: you only ever see sections and pages your workspace's plan and your role already entitle you to.

FAQs
Does customizing my navigation consume credits?
No. Pinning, reordering, hiding, and resetting are all free, as is moving between pages. Credits are only used by actions you run on a page, such as enrichment or export.
Why don't I see Scoring, Sequences, Meetings, or Email Manager Agent in my sidebar?
Those items appear only when the feature is enabled for your workspace. Ask your Admin whether it's turned on for your plan. If it is enabled and still missing, check whether you hid it — open Customize Navigation and look at the bottom of the relevant section for hidden items.
Where did my Settings page go?
Eleven pages moved from Settings into the main sidebar: Imports, Integrations, Exports, Sync Data, Sync Log, Sync Health, Matching, Field Management, Alerts, Scoring, and Email Manager Agent. Their web addresses didn't change, so any bookmark or shared link still works. Everything else is still in Settings, regrouped under Account, Workspace, Integrations, Data Management, Discovery, and Actions.
When do I get the new unified Integrations experience?
It's rolling out over the coming weeks. Until it reaches your workspace, Integrations stays an expandable section with Exports, Sync Data, Sync Log, Sync Health, Matching, and Field Management under More. Once it lands, those become tabs inside each connector and Integrations becomes a single entry.
Is CRM Diagnostic in Actions yet?
Not yet — it's moving into Actions shortly. Until then, reach it the way you do today.
The video calls them "quick actions" — is that the same as Shortcuts?
Yes. The strip at the top of the sidebar is labelled Shortcuts in the product. It holds Dashboard plus up to five pages you pin.
Can I pin more than five shortcuts?
No — Shortcuts holds a maximum of five pinned items plus Dashboard. The cap keeps the strip scannable. Remove one to add another.
If I pin a page, does it disappear from its section?
No. A pinned page appears in both places: once in Shortcuts and once in its Browse section. Browse is meant to stay the complete map of the product.
Do my navigation changes affect my whole team?
No. Every change is personal to your user. Your teammates keep their own layout, and each of you can set a completely different one.
Will my layout follow me to another computer?
Yes. Preferences are saved to your CRED account, not your browser, so they apply everywhere you sign in.
How do I get the original sidebar back?
Open Customize Navigation and click Reset. This restores both the default item order and the default shortcuts (Companies, People, Sequences, Opportunities, Alerts).
What's the ⋯ that appears when I hover a sidebar row?
A quick menu for that row: Pin to Shortcuts or Remove from Shortcuts, and Open in new tab. It's the fastest way to change a shortcut without opening the full panel.
